SharePoint intranet web parts in SPHub
SPHub by Inthouse includes 27 SPFx web parts for SharePoint Online, in five
groups: Communicate, HR and people, Assets and operations, Navigation, and
the platform parts that run the rest.
They ship together in one .sppkg package, and the setup wizard
creates the lists each one reads from.
SPHub's 27 web parts are named below, group by group, with a line on what each group is for. Per-module field counts and screenshots are left out, because we only publish what we have checked.
How the web parts are built
SPHub web parts are SPFx web parts that read and write ordinary SharePoint lists in your own tenant.
-
Lists only for what you enable
A full install creates 24 SharePoint lists and 153 custom fields. If you enable fewer modules, setup creates fewer lists. Content stays in lists you can open, export and audit; see where SPHub stores your data.
-
Forms and views included
The nine request and tracker modules each ship their own New and Update forms, so nobody builds a list form by hand. Each one also has an all-items view and a recycle-bin view; most add a “mine” view, and several a by-status, pending or by-type one. Daily lunch menus and Content Scheduler have their own forms and views too. The display modules — announcements, events, the carousel, FAQ and the rest — are edited with SharePoint's own page editor and list items.
-
Some modules can send email
Certain modules can email a named contact person through Microsoft Graph, using templates your team edits in a SharePoint list. If no contact person is configured, nothing is sent.
-
Your colour, with overrides
A site-wide brand colour and presets (a blue "Vibrant" and a "Red") style the web parts. A colour or preset set on one web part overrides the site-wide setting. In a Teams tab they follow the Teams theme instead.
Communicate: SharePoint announcements, events and the company directory
The Communicate group puts company news, dates, video, answers and the employee directory on the pages people already open each morning.
Communicate
web part- Corporate announcementsThe SharePoint announcements web part: company news posts on the home page
- EventsUpcoming company events, read from a list
- Content carouselThe rotating banner at the top of a page
- Video galleryCompany videos gathered in one place
- FAQAnswers to the questions people keep asking
- Company directory ("Who Is Who")The SharePoint employee directory web part, reading your organisation's user list from Microsoft Graph. The one module that needs a Graph permission beyond the three SPHub requests — see security.
To add an event or a new FAQ answer, an editor adds an item to its list and the page updates.
HR and people: leave, expenses, recruitment and onboarding
The HR and people group replaces the spreadsheets and shared inboxes behind the requests an HR team handles every week, and adds the small social touches around them.
HR and people
web part- Annual leaveLeave requests with their own form and views
- ExpensesExpense requests with their own form and views
- RecruitmentOpen roles and candidates, with their own forms and views, including a by-status view and one for your own interviews
- Travel requestsTravel requests with their own form and views
- New-employee onboardingWelcoming and introducing new starters
- BirthdaysWho has a birthday coming up
- Daily lunch menusToday's menu, kept in a list, with its own forms and daily, weekly and monthly views
The request modules can email a named contact person through Microsoft Graph. Deleting an item only marks it inactive, and each tracker has a recycle-bin view to restore it from.
Assets and operations: a SharePoint asset management template and more
The Assets and operations group covers the things a company owns, buys and has to keep running: equipment, contracts, purchases, faults and vehicles.
Assets and operations
web part- Asset managementA SharePoint asset management template: a multi-step form for basic info, details, photos, ownership and purchase, plus views for all assets, your own, and assets by type
- Contract managementContracts with their own form and views
- ProcurementPurchase requests with their own form and views
- Issue trackingLogging and following up problems, with their own forms and views, including tickets by status
- Vehicle assignmentWhich vehicle is assigned to whom, with its own forms and views
- Shuttle routesPublished routes for staff transport
The choices people pick from, such as asset types, are managed per module on one Settings page, so nobody needs to open list settings.
Navigation: links, shortcuts and recent documents
The Navigation group gets people to the right page, department or file in one click, which is most of what an intranet home page is for.
Navigation
web part- Quick linksA list of links, kept in a SharePoint list
- Icon linksColoured shortcuts from a list
- Department linksOne row per department link item
- Recent documentsFiles from a document library you pick
The setup wizard also builds the site menu, with one entry per module page.
Adding them to your tenant
An administrator uploads one package and approves three Graph permissions, then chooses the modules to set up.
-
One install, then pick modules
Upload
SPHub.sppkgto the App Catalog, approve the three Graph permissions, and run setup on your site. The steps are on the install page. -
SharePoint Online and Teams
The web parts run on modern SharePoint Online pages with no custom script. Most can be added as a Microsoft Teams tab. There is no Outlook host.
-
One licence, every web part
There is no tier that ships fewer of them. Pricing is per user and falls with headcount; the pricing page has the five bands.
-
Screenshots
Published product screenshots come from a Turkish-language demo tenant.
The platform: settings, dashboard, scheduling and surveys
Four of the 27 web parts are not about one business process. They run the rest, and they are the reason the count above is larger than the module list.
Platform
what it does- SPHub SettingsWhere an administrator configures the platform-wide options for the whole of SPHub
- SPHub DashboardOne overview across all the trackers, plus the items waiting on the person looking at it
- Content SchedulerPlans and tracks content publishing, with configurable columns and tabs
- SPHub SurveyEmbeds a survey inline or as a link, with validity dates
